Citrol is a new cleaning and degreasing preparation based on microemulsion technology and is intended for a wide variety of industrial applications where either for economic, ecological or safety reasons, conventional products present problems or hazards.

Dilutable with water in all proportions, Citrol provides the end user with a safe, simple to use, degreasing and cleaning product for the heaviest applications.  Often the need for flammable or volatile hydrocarbon solvents can be overcome specially for heavy degreasing applications where an extended contact time is required.

Citrol's special cleaning action is derived from its very finely dispersed blend of orange oils and emulsifiers which act at a multitude of different sites upon the surface to be cleaned.

Citrol is ideal for applications where it is impossible to contain solutions for discharge without risk to the surrounding environment. This may be described as "external" cleaning of ships' superstructures, decks and deck equipments - as opposed to "internal" cleaning cargo holds and tanks. (In this case Arrow HDD is recommended. However, Citrol has also been found to be a very effective substitute for traditional caustic "saponification" of tanks carrying animal or vegetable fats and oils, again injected into water-lines at 1:20 ratio).

Citrol may be used via mop/bucket techniques, via high-pressure washing equipment with warm (40 oC maximum) water or injected directly into high or low-pressure washing lines. 1:20 dilution is recommended generally but this may be adjusted up or down according to specific application cleaning requirements.

Citrol is non corrosive to most metals including aluminium, safe to use on good quality paintwork; caution - delicate plastics and rubbers. Test small area beforehand.
